In my experience teaching children, working with special educational needs (SEN) students, and serving as a wellbeing coordinator at a dementia care home, I've had the opportunity to deeply explore the field of cognitive development and maintenance. Through these experiences, I've come to appreciate the significant cognitive benefits that engaging in daily mazes can provide. These benefits include enhanced problem-solving skills, improved memory, and increased spatial awareness. The process of navigating through mazes stimulates the brain, encouraging creative thinking and persistence.
I've taken this concept a step further by incorporating daily evolving games paired with high-tempo music from around the world. This combination not only boosts motivation and energy levels but also presents a continuous challenge to the mind, fostering inner perseverance. Alongside these activities, participants are welcome to complete a questionnaire designed to capture their experiences and feelings as they navigate the mazes and listen to the music. This feedback helps us understand the subjective impact of the maze and music combination.
Together, these evolving mazes and curated music form a powerful routine that significantly boosts cognitive function and productivity.
