I see my practice as a symbolic mind map, with myself as the central cloud and the tentacles of each project reaching out to explore different mediums, ideas, and connections. These tentacles don’t exist in isolation—they often intertwine with one another, forming a dense, webbed structure that grows with every new exploration. At the heart of this web is my quest to understand myself and in that process understand more of the world too, while connecting with others through shared experiences.
Symbolism is the foundation of my work, from the titles I choose, to the colours I select to the materials and recurring motifs I use. For example, mazes and games become the outer frameworks of life as we know it - birth/work/life/death, while Dutch and real gold leaf interrogate concepts of authenticity and value systems, questioning what society deems precious. My Twilight Language script acts as both a mask and a bridge, concealing and revealing meaning simultaneously. As the web of my practice expands, it integrates broader research, such as the intersections of physics, ancient Indian architecture inspired by cymatics, and the overlaps between quantum physics and Jain philosophy, offering frameworks for understanding existence as layered, fluid, and co-dependent. Through this ever-expanding web, my practice becomes a space for connecting ancient and contemporary ideas, creating a dialogue between the visible and invisible, the personal and universal.
